day 1 - The HOUSE is here!

6.20 am J arrived to our lot this morning. On the lot a carpenter had already started to shovel some snow off the foundation.



Soon the big stuff arrived and of course some more workers.






It was hard work all day since the house had to be up before dark. But still there were time for "fika" breaks.

Below you can follow the progress through out the day.

Unfortunately two windows were in the wrong place, but good thing is that it is an easy fix for the carpenters. You will probably hear more about this later. Anyone who noticed whats wrong?







That is all for today! We are all tired after a long day. J fell asleep already around 8pm tonight.

Update! 8.13am
The truck made it!

9pm Sunday evening, 9,5 hours before

We got a call from the carpenter. He had news from the truck driver, the road (prior to our private road) the truck have to take in the morning is covered with ice. Something has to be done!

The only thing we could do was to give the number to the one in charge of the road. Hold your thumbs that this will be solved in time.

Only a nights sleep left...

SNOW!
No snow all winter and now it is falling just in time for the delivery of our house. The outer walls and roof will arrive in smaller pieces on Monday morning at 6.30. By evening the house shell should be up and standing - Hopefully!!!

J & A är i skrivande stund och skottar våran 130m långa väg med varsin skyffel. :)

One week left...

Lets hope for a blue sky on 23rd of February.
