day 1 - The HOUSE is here!

6.20 am J arrived to our lot this morning. On the lot a carpenter had already started to shovel some snow off the foundation.



Soon the big stuff arrived and of course some more workers.






It was hard work all day since the house had to be up before dark. But still there were time for "fika" breaks.

Below you can follow the progress through out the day.

Unfortunately two windows were in the wrong place, but good thing is that it is an easy fix for the carpenters. You will probably hear more about this later. Anyone who noticed whats wrong?







That is all for today! We are all tired after a long day. J fell asleep already around 8pm tonight.

One week left...

Lets hope for a blue sky on 23rd of February.

Two weeks left...

Husgrunden börjar ta form, nästa vecka blir det nog en bild på betongplattan. Nu är det bara två veckor kvar tills de stora lastbilarna kommer med ytterväggarna. Spännande!

We can now see exactly where our house will be placed. It is only two weeks left until the big trucks will arrive with the outer walls of our future home.

The big sewage tank from last weeks pic we will hopefully never see again...

We do not have a before picture of this but below the dirt it was a parking place for the old little house before.

J in the kitchen and L is taking the photo from the garage. There will be a difference in the ground level between the garage and the living area.
